The Designer

For those of you meeting me for the first time, my name is Vanessa. I am a self made events and interior decorator based out of New York City. Originally an accounting major in college I never once thought that event and home design was something in my future. That all changed with the pregnancy of my son Daniel. I wanted to celebrate his arrival in grand fashion. I was relegated to light bedrest so I spent the time planning and decorating for his baby shower. Since that first event I have not stopped creating and designing events that meet every need and budget. 

Although my business has grown from humble beginnings it is still a family affair.  My husband builds many of my custom creations and is my right hand at events. My son Daniel and new addition Valeria are my little helpers who might one day join mom in furthering this venture. 

Just like event design home decor came from a need. My husband and I had just moved to the United States from Dominican Republic and needed to furnish our home on a budget. Emphasis on budget! But with his skills for building and my eye for diamonds in the rough we have made magic in our home. I decided to document my homes progress on instagram and that led to people inviting me to their homes to decorate. 

I do not know what the future holds for me and my future endeavors but I am excited to grow and have one of your design needs be part of that growth.
